Portland Powercat Update 8/22/07

Greetings Oregon Cat Fans

Looking forward to our first Watch Party of the season at Life of Riley Tavern to watch the Wildcats square off against the Auburn Tigers on Sept 1st. More info to come later. I will be sending everyone a Google Calender evite, this is a much more efficient manner for me to gather headcounts, please RSVP via the evite, thanks.

T-Shirts should be ready for pick-up at the first watch party if all goes as planned. Thank you to everyone who got their order in, there was a total of 40+ shirts ordered, many more than the initial interest. Special thanks to Jamie Oder and Weylan Bosse for all of their help with the design.

We are going to start a drawing for football season. Overall winner will receive a $50 Cats Closet Gift Certificate. You will get one entry for each event you attend. Guests to events will gain you an extra entry. We will have weekly winners of a smaller prize, weekly winners gain an extra entry to the main drawing. Grand Prize winner will be drawn after the football season is over.

Basketball Team adds another recruit for 2007
Ron Anderson (The McCallie School), has joined the wildcat basketball team. He is a 6'8 forward, and recieved multiple state and AAU recognition and awards. Anderson was rated a 3-star recruit by Rivals and should be a great addition to what most services rated a top 3 recruiting class. More info can be found at
