WATCH PARTY UPDATE Greetings Portland Powercats, K-State Football season is right around the corner.  The Portland Powercats will be having watch parties for all games televised on cable or satellite.  Watch parties will be held at Life of Riley Tavern, 300 NW 10th Ave, Portland, OR.  We planning on having Boulevard beer specials and food specials for each Watch Party. K-State has come out with a new online TV station: K-StateHD.tv that will televise a number of events including the first Football game vs Eastern Kentucky, 9/3/2011 at 4 pm.  As of right now we will not have watch parties for the games broadcast online, but I am working to make that possible. There are only definite TV time slots for two other games: 9/17 vs Kent State and 12/3 vs Iowa State.  The Big XII tv contracts are set up so most gametimes and tv slots aren't set until 7-14 days before each game.  I will send out watch party updates as soon as I get the gametime and tv information.  A full football schedule can be found at K-Statesports.com.  I am looking for a few volunteers to offer to help set up and run watch parties.  I have a 10 month old, so my time isn't as flexible as in years past.  Responsibilities would include showing up about 30 minutes early and making sure we have enough tables in a group and having people sign in. If you know of any new K-Staters in the area or any who aren't receiving these emails, please respond to this email with their information and I will add them to the list. Cancellation of Watch Party for KSU vs OSU, Sat Oct 30th, 9 am

I have only received one RSVP for the watch party on Saturday and a significant amount of the watch party regulars are out of town or otherwise engaged.  As a result we will not be having a watch party for the game vs OSU this Saturday.  Life of Riley has no problem opening up early, but I don't want them to open up early if we don't have a decent crowd.

The game is televised nationally on Fox Sports Net.  Channel 34 or 734 on Comcast and 687 on DirecTV.  I'm not sure if DISH is covering the game with their current disagreement with the FSN channels, if it is on it will be channel 426 with the correct subscription.

We will be having a watch party for the Texas game on Nov 6th at 5 pm.

Portland Powercats Watch Party vs UCLA, Sat, Sept 4th 12:30 pm

Hope everyone had a great summer, KSU football season is right around the corner, with the first game taking place Sat, Sept 4th at 12:30 pm vs UCLA.

The Portland Powercats will be having a watch party for the game.  We will be meeting at Life of Riley Tavern, 300 NW 10th Ave.  Food will be off the menu and minors are allowed before 8 pm. 

We will be meeting for all televised football games.  The television coverage for most games will occur within a 7-14 day window before the game, but there are a few nationally televised games that have been announced.  This is a list of televised games only, I will send out updates as televised games are announced.

Watch Party Elite Eight KSU vs Butler, Saturday, March 27th, 1:30 PM

The Cats advanced to the Elite Eight for the first time since 1988 with a double overtime win versus Xavier last night.
